Does old light supersede new light?

The New Testament clearly has more authority than the Old Testament because of Christ. He is the fulfillment of the OT prophecies and its laws. You cannot cite a passage from the OT and have it supersede what Christ said and what the apostles said.

Matthew 12:6 (NWT 2013) But I tell you that something greater than the temple is here.

Matthew 12:41 (NWT 2013) Men of Nineveh will rise up in the judgment with this generation and will condemn it, because they repented at what Jonah preached. But look! something more than Jonah is here.

Matthew 12:42 (NWT 2013) The queen of the south will be raised up in the judgment with this generation and will condemn it, for she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon. But look! something more than Solomon is here.

Luke 11:31 (NWT 2013) The queen of the south will be raised up in the judgment with the men of this generation and will condemn them, for she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon. But look! something more than Solomon is here.

Luke 11:32 (NWT 2013) The men of Nineveh will rise in the judgment with this generation and will condemn it, because they repented at what Jonah preached. But look! something more than Jonah is here.

Where does the Watchtower use OT passages to “overrule” NT statements?

Ecc 9:5 “the dead know nothing...” WBTS uses this to establish beyond any doubt that the soul does not survive death.

Overruling Christ’s statement: Matthew 10:28 (KJV) And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
