House to house witnessing

How Many Houses Did Jesus Visit, Exactly? He did NOT go house to house like a recruiter with pamphlets

How many houses did YESHUA visit to witness?

(*Spoiler: Not as many as Jehovah’s Witnesses knock on every Saturday*)

Let’s be real — the Gospels don’t give us a neat checklist titled “All the Homes Jesus Visited.” But we *can* track down a pretty solid list of actual houses that Jesus entered, based on the text. And spoiler alert: Jesus wasn’t exactly a door-to-door salesman for the Kingdom™.

Person’s House Purpose References
Peter’s House (in Capernaum) Jesus healed Peter’s mother-in-law. Classic healing-at-home moment. Mark 1:29-31; Matthew 8:14-15; Luke 4:38-39
Levi’s (Matthew’s) House Big dinner with tax collectors and sinners. Definitely not a Watchtower-style study group. Luke 5:27-29; Matthew 9:10; Mark 2:15
Zacchaeus’ House The rich tax guy who climbed a tree. Jesus invited Himself over. Luke 19:1-10
Jairus’ House Jesus raised his daughter from the dead. Now that’s a house call. Mark 5:35-43; Matthew 9:23-26; Luke 8:49-56
Mary, Martha, and Lazarus’ Home (Bethany) One of His favorite places. He chilled there a lot. Luke 10:38-42; John 11:1-44; John 12:1-3
Simon the Pharisee’s House A “nice religious guy” invites Jesus over, and then shames Him silently. Classy. Luke 7:36-50
Simon the Leper’s House (Bethany) A different Simon — Jesus gets anointed with expensive perfume. (Yes, this isn’t the same as Simon the Pharisee — apparently “Simon” was the John Smith of 1st-century Judea.) Matthew 26:6-13; Mark 14:3-9
Emmaus House Jesus eats dinner with two disciples post-resurrection. No knocking required. Luke 24:29-31
Centurion’s House (Technically No Entry) Jesus healed the servant remotely, because the centurion said, “I’m not worthy.” Matthew 8:5-13; Luke 7:1-10
The Upper Room Where He had the Last Supper. Private, arranged, meaningful — not random. Luke 22:7-13; Mark 14:12-17
Unnamed Pharisee’s House(s) Several invites to dine with Pharisees. Because Jesus loved awkward dinner conversations. Luke 14:1, among others

TOTAL: At least 10–12 different houses (Give or take)
Now, could there be more? Sure. There are vague mentions like “He entered a house” (e.g., Mark 9:28), but the Gospels don’t say He was playing spiritual doorbell bingo.

Big Picture (and slight reality check): Jesus did visit homes, but always with a purpose:

But He did NOT go house to house like a recruiter with pamphlets. No records of Him standing on porches saying, “Good morning, do you have a moment to talk about the Paradise Earth?”

Final Verdict:

Jesus visited about a dozen homes during His ministry. That’s not a method. That’s intentional connection.

Rebuttal: “But Jehovah’s Witnesses go house to house like Jesus did!”

Uh… where exactly? Because the math (and the Gospels) aren’t gospel-ing that.
